Backstage is a young aspiring consultancy in growth within the data industry. The team consists of five smart-working and dedicated people.
We are on an exciting journey, where we seek to improve the ways of working meanwhile delivering state-of-the-art data solutions to our ambitious customers. In doing so, only the most appropriate and newest technology is utilized. Taken to the extreme, this means our printer is currently residing, shamefully, in the basement at our office.

Senior Data Engineer Consultant
Backstage is looking for a passionate Consultant with the skillset to serve a world-class cocktail mixing both data and business.
The Job:
As a consultant at Backstage, you will find yourself responsible for delivering valuable solutions to our customers. You will work in smaller teams consisting of both colleagues and customers where problem solving is as common as lunch at 11.30. Together we will drive the data-driven agenda!

What will bring you a second date?
You know your way around
- Knowing azure infrastructure like the back of your hand
- Feel comfortable with CI/CD
- Speaking languages such as SQL or Python.
- Thinking reusability when coding – you cannot help it
- You have the ability to not only code but also to understand problems and communicate your solutions
- Interacting and understanding people, as they are the cornerstone of the solutions we build.
Your profile described by colleagues:
- Always curious about the newest technology and eager to learn and adapt to new working styles / frameworks
- Can plan ahead and handle unforeseen obstacles with a calm attitude
- A person we would love to have a coffee or a beer with
- Easy to work with and always ready with a smile
- Does not know what SSIS is (or in denial), and never want to work with obsolete technology
